OLV National Shrine & Basilica's Centennial Celebration, which began in 2021 and will conclude in May of 2026, has been a vibrant tribute to 100 years of faith, service, and community.
Guided by the theme “All Are Welcome,” the celebration has offered an array of events designed to invite people from all walks of life to experience the beauty and spirit of the Shrine. From inspiring concerts and thought-provoking art exhibits to special Masses and fun gatherings for families of all ages, each event has highlighted the Basilica’s role as a place of worship, reflection, and connection.
“Over the past century, the Basilica has been a beacon of faith and hope,” said Msgr. David LiPuma, pastor/rector of OLV National Shrine & Basilica. “Through the Centennial Celebration, we’ve been able to share it with even more people, reminding everyone that here, truly, all are welcome.”
As the Centennial draws to a close, the Shrine continues to embody its mission of hospitality and devotion, inviting visitors to witness its stunning architecture, rich history, and vibrant community life. The celebration has not only honored the past but also inspired a renewed commitment to sharing the Shrine’s message of faith and service for generations to come!
