victorious hearts - couples ministry
While there are many beautiful events and Lenten missions happening throughout our Diocese, we felt called to offer a more intimate time of prayer in the lower level chapel of the Basilica on Thursday, March 19, at 6 p.m., the Feast of St. Joseph.
St. Joseph’s example of obedience, silent trust in God, and his role as protector and provider is a powerful model for us (let us call on his intercession!). Couples and singles who wish to pray for their future spouse, their marriage, or any other intentions are warmly welcome. Bring your rosaries!
* Please note that this gathering will not include hospitality beforehand, as it is a Thursday evening. However, a few couples are considering going out for appetizers at a nearby restaurant afterward. If you are interested in joining, email us!
On Saturday, April 18, we are excited to welcome Rev. Justin Steeg to speak on Marriage in Canon Law: Roles and Responsibilities, following the 4:30 p.m. Mass.
Rev. Justin Steeg is a priest who currently serves as Adjutant Judicial Vicar at the Diocesan Tribunal and as a supply minister for the Light of Christ Family of Parishes. He received his Licentiate in Canon Law (JCL) from The Catholic University of America. In his free time, he enjoys cycling and collecting physical media.
Hospitality will be provided that evening, including beverages and charcuterie. As always, we welcome any support if you would like to bring a dish to share. A refrigerator is available in the hospitality room to keep food cool.
